About

Rob Savitsky is an independent artist manager, entertainment and media consultant, and songwriter. Having gigged all over the east coast in New York City, Philadelphia, DC, and Boston, it is his background as a rock/pop songwriter and performing artist which continues to inform his work today as a young music business professional.

Rob got his start in the business as a Marketing and A&R intern, scouting up-and-coming artists in New York for both Razor & Tie Entertainment and Sony Music. He then worked his way up to Marketing Manager at Radio Tag, where he setup and executed promotions and on air giveaways for artists such as Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Pearl Jam, Whitney Houston, Kelly Clarkson, and Ke$ha, among others. Eventually, Rob made his way over to Wind-up Records, where as the Online Community Manager, he ran the label’s day-to-day social media operations for all artists on the roster (Evanescence, Seether, Civil Twilight, James Durbin, Company of Thieves, Bayside etc.)

Recent projects include booking, tour management and project management for classical guitarist, Peter Fletcher’s 2010-2011 national tour, management and online marketing for folk/rock singer-songwriter, Liat, and management and A&R for alt-rocker, Danny Chait.

Rob received a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Pennsylvania in 2008.  Graduating with Cum Laude distinction, Rob completed a Major in psychology and a Minor in music, while also running on the Men’s Varsity Track & Field Team as a long sprinter. Rob’s coursework also consisted of study at both the Clive Davis School Of Recorded Music and Steinhardt School at New York University.
